The Threshold
Soul-centered therapy for whole-life healing · Individuals, Couples & Families

Elle Saunders, LMFT

You have lived long enough to know that what you are looking for is not more information. You have read the books. You have sat in the rooms. And still there is something — older than your diagnosis, deeper than what you have already named — that has not yet been given permission to fully arrive. That is what we are here for.
Healing is a spiral. We do not move through it in a straight line — we go down, we integrate, we rise changed, and then life calls us deeper. What the body carries in its tissue, the stories handed down without being spoken, the self that was never allowed to finish becoming — all of it is workable. We enter through myth and memory, through breath and the felt sense, through ancestral thread and the earth’s long intelligence. Twenty years of sitting with people at this kind of opening has taught me one thing above all: you are beyond what you think you are.
If you are arriving as two — love does not go away. It goes underground, into the body’s held memory, waiting for the right conditions to surface. We go there — not to assign blame, but to find what is still alive underneath, and learn to inhabit each other differently. Erotic vitality as a returning. Co-regulation as daily practice. The sacred and the practical, woven together.

How the Work Unfolds
1
The
Intake
We review what is asking for attention. I listen for what has worked for you before and what you want to be different. You begin to feel what it is like to be genuinely heard.
2
Building the Relationship
Trust is the medicine before the medicine. We identify your primary attachment patterns, the narratives running quietly in the background, and where they live in the body. We are not in a hurry.
3
The Spiral Descent
We go in. Through sensation, story, lineage, the unlived parts of yourself. We experiment, track what shifts, and follow what opens. Much of this happens between sessions — you go out into the world and begin to move differently through it.
4
Integration & Becoming
Transformation has points of recalibration — where you are changing and the old self hasn’t yet let go. I stay with you through that edge. We build practices for radical self-acceptance and genuine nurturance. You are beyond what you think you are. We will find that out, together.
